   Scousetechie Specialist

   I am running a win2k machine and OE6 and just recently when I click on any of my local folders it takes ages to load up, then when I click on a new message in a folder that takes ages to load.
   
   Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

   Try compacting your folders.
   additionally , try disabling your AV's email scanning feature. Sometimes it has a dramatic effect on how fast the mail is scanned.
