Outlook Express

A friend has OE and posts JPG pics to friends etc, he loads them as file attachments but when they are received the pictures are in the body of the email and are unusable as the recipient has to scroll sideways and downwards because they are so large. The attachments are shown in the attachments window but how can he stop them being in the body of the email.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird and I don't have this problem I just click on the attachment and it loads in Windows picture and fax viewer. I'm not too good on OE. Is there a setting I should change?
