I am not sure if this is the right place for this, but I ran my anti-virus and did not find anything.
I run Windows XP with Outlook Express.
Have not had any problems till today. Computer is new since Christmas.
Now, I cannot send any messages. ZA comes up with alert telling me it is blocking my outgoing mail. I tried turning ZA off just to see what happened, but still get this error message. Anyone know how to help ?

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'lonne@sytekcom.com'. Subject 'Fw: FIRE HAZARD', Account: 'mail.sytekcom.com', Server: 'mail.sytekcom.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 This system is configured to reject mail from XXX.XXX.XX(DNS reverse lookup failed)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC78a

You might try uninstalling ZoneAlarm, running a registry cleaner to remove all traces of the application, and then try your email again. I'm not a big fan of ZoneAlarm as it has caused problems on a few PC's for me, and I've switched to Sygate, which doesn't have the cartoonish interface and seems to work great. :) Reread your post, and it could be that the person that you are trying to send email to has blocked you, although it could have been unintentional!

I thought of the fact someone may have blocked me, but I tried sending to myself and to my mom, who I know doesn't have me blocked. Still didn't work.

Thanks for the help. Think I will will uninstall Za and download it again. I have never had trouble with it before.

May I suggest reading the FAQ's onsite, particularly those pertaining to spyware?

It is surprising how often that seemingly terminal computer poblems are solved by maintenance.

    No snark intended, FYI:)

I am not sure what you mean. I have ran adaware, spybot, spysweeper, cwshredder, plus I run an online scan at least once a week.

I looked thru the FAQ,and did a search to see if others have had this trouble and did not find anything.

Well, I uninstalled ZA and am trying Sygate, bur this us not what is the problem with my Outlook Express. The outgoing mail is still blocked. Hopefully, it is a problem with my server, and not something with the computer. I will check it again in the morning.
