Outlook Locking up

I have a situation where Outlook (2003 professional, on XP) locks up, whenever we click on "Reply" or "forward".confused

Also, it appears as though things are being sent (they are in the "sent" forlder), but the recipients never get them.

nope. It didn't - sorry, I put that it was outlook 2007, I meant 2003!

 

hmmm/..... all the fixes I have tried are still not working.

It works fine in safe mode (of course) but then locks up again (does not get a "not responding" error, just says it's starting word as email editor, and freezes)

 

I have found fixes related to word, etc... they don't help, either...

 

I'd try a detect and repair, first off.

1. Launch Outlook
2. Select 'Detect And Repair' from the 'Help' menu
3. Follow the wizard.

This will cause Office to do a repair installation, replacing possibly corrupted files with known good versions from disc (which it may prompt you to insert, btw)

 

Already did that, too.... no change
