outlook...page fault in mwshelp.dll

    hola!
    tried posting this in spyware forum but think it's something nastier....
    Running win98se.
    can't get outlook to open. everytime=illegal operation - page fault in mwshelp.dll
    I've done some searching about and it's clear that mwshelp.dll is not friendly however most suggested fixes relate to ie and "about-blank pages"
    I do have probs downloading via ie6 but it runs, unlike outlook!
    Any suggestions?
