    I have Outlook 2002

I set the options to NOT show the Outlook Send/Receive Progress when emails are going out.

The box "Don't Show This Dialog Box During Send/Receive" is checked.

Yet it still always pops up and stays open until I close it.
    I HATE that.
If I'm typing a letter, email, Quicken, on a website, or wherever, that thing pops up and automatically forces me to click back into the program I was using.

    It's driving me NUTS !!!

How do I make it go away once and for all.

    RightGirl,

Do you have your Status Bar turned off? If so, try turning it on and see if that stops the pop-up. If it works, follow the directions below to make sure the Status Bar stays on:

Once you have selected the Status Bar (it is ticked in the View Menu) select the Tools menu. Select Folder Options. Select the View Tab. Click the Apply To All Folders Button.

This will make all your folder appear in the same way as the currently opened folder. This will include showing the Status Bar.
