When I first got the PC it had Vista, Then MS came out with the year free trial of 7. After the year was up, I purchased Windows 7 from an online store. Installed it and it gave me a new installation with all the documents and such from the trial version into a folder called windows.old.
I recovered my documents and set up outlook and everything was fine except there was nothing in my sent mail folder, now I'm in a class action lawsuit and I desperately need those emails that had contracts and other legal papers

    How can I retrieve them?

In windows.old is there a file with a "pst" extension? It would probable be in the something like C:\windows.old\users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

username being what name you used to login when sending your emails.

If you are still having difficulty locating that pst file then install Everything and put .pst in the search field - it's instantaneous.
