output from COM4 to USB

    Hi
    I run a dos program which outputs to COM4 port. My new computer only has USB. Windows says 'Cannot open com4 port requested by the aplication' . Can anyone tell me how to rout this output to USB? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm pretty sure USB has a different protocol for data output. You are going to have to purchase a USB to serial converter.
