Overclocking an AMD Thunderbird 850 MHz

    I have an A7V MB containg 512Mb RAM and an AMD Thundebird 850MHz CPU running windows XP Pro with SP1.I would like to know how to overclock this unit and the dangers ( if any) in doing so.

    Running that up to 1000MHz shouldn't be too much hassle.
    The A7V you have... has it got jumper swithches near the top right of the mobo? If it has you move a jumper at the bottom of the mobo to set manual oc'ing and then change the multiplier with the top swithches.
    Main danger is heat - my Athlon used to run at 70C without overclocking
