Hi folks, this is my first thread so here goes!!!

I have an ageing system comprising the following
Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro mobo Bios F14
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0ghz with Akasa Evo 33 cooler
    1GB Ram 2x 512Mb Micron PC3200
Does anyone have any stable overclocking settings for this setup? I tried the following from another site but the PC wouldn't boot past the first screen.
    HTT multi 3x
    CPU frequency to 250Mhz
and I set the ram speed manually to 333Mhz
I'm just looking for a useful boost not anything extreme or likely to melt something.

    Thanks

the highest stable overclock i can get with my old 3200+ is around 2.4Ghz (i have a MSI neo board) and i didnt change anything other than the frequency (from 200 to 240)

    Hi thanks for the info.
I tried it at 240 but it wouldn't detect the drives let alone boot. Took it down in stages and finally got it to boot at 210. Seems happy so far but may try to squeeze some more out of it later.
    Thanks again
