This is a question that a lot of Black Sabbath fans...or music fans in general have heard before. I myself prefer BS with Ronnis James Dio singing, although I also like Ozzy`s reign too. I`m not what you`d call a metal-head, I listen to all genres of music(except country and rap). I`d be interested to see what anyone thinks of the Ozzy or Dio question.

Sasquatch77, that's a tough one. I like Sabbath with both Ozzy and Dio signing; but since I have to pick one, Ozzy.

Are you sure you're not going to go through some changes on that choice? hehe

BS had 2 different singers? Can someone elaborate? Did this Dio guy come along when Ozzy split with the original band?

    OZZY!!!

I am a huge Sabbath (w/ ozzy) fan.

To be honest though, I'm not much of a fan of Ozzys solo stuff, even with Randy Rhodes.

I think it's more of the way Ozzy and Tony Iommi sort of compliment each other. Sabbath sucked without Ozzy, and Ozzy sucked without Sabbath.

And Lev, did you have to bring that up? I don't know what the hell they were thinking with that song. I cringe everytime I hear that first piano note! :)

I loved Black Sabbath with Ozzy, when Dio came along (bought the first album with Dio) I was very disappointed. i never listened to any Black Sabbath thereafter.
I have to say I liked Ozzy even better when he left Black Sabbath. A shot in the Dark....my favorite!

My vote is for Ozzy, I was about sixteen when the first Black Sabbath album came out and it drove my parents crazy.

But now I feel kinda old, My daughter went to Ozzfest in Wisconsin Saturday and said she LOVED it. :) :D

For my money, Ozzy doesn't get better than the work he did on "Blizzard of Oz" and "Diary of a Madman" with Randy Rhoads. Randy's incredible guitar work brought out something special inside of Ozzy - at a time when he needed it most.

The man has a knack for surrounding himself with top-flight musicians (i.e. Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, Zakk Wylde, Mike Bordin, Jason Newstead, Robert Trujillo, etc.).

Ronnie James Dio, on the other hand, is awesome... I love his first two albums, "Holy Diver" and "The Last in Line." Vivian Campbell's best work.

Ozzy`s "Mr.Crowley" is just about his best work if you ask me. Dio`s "Neon Nights" rocks too.
