    P90X or Insanity

I am not trying to lose weight or gain muscle, etc
I am trying to find a program I can do that will get me moving again.
When I watch these infomericals, the people move a lot and are guided to move.

I have a brainstem injury, which means my involuntary muscle movements didnt work for a while and I still have trouble with some voluntarily stuff. like I cant run, can't jump, years have been spent re-learning to walk again, etc
so I sit at 12-14% bodyfat, yet the basic stuff(rollerblading) I can't do, either because I've forgotten or I just have no idea...(like jumping, no idea, how to do that with my deadish left leg..
my left leg and right hand have been mostly affected as my speech(because of issues with cranial nerve #10, vagus and breathing, etc....(not aphasia)

so if I practice the movements, I'll get better
    but which program is better
    insanity or px90?

I just bought a treadmill and I do foot exercises and I revamped my diet based on this book
    Health and nutrition secrets

    Goals:
    total testosterone >600gn/dl—
    total cholesterol <150
    fasting glucose<100
    HDL>59

    Bodyfat 10-14%

    Diet

    For the most part, I eat the same stuff daily=DIET 2 or 3 shakes+ 2eggbeaters +ancillaries

I try to get 220grams protein. and no processed carbs

I eat eggwhites and shakes as below

    200gram eggwhites

1 shake = using a vitamix mixer, which means I dump all this stuff into a blender and it comes out and I can drink it with a straw, or just gulp it down. cause eating isnt fun, its utilitarian, unless you are talking about cake, burgers, and pizza

    shakes are composed of:
    vegan rice protein
    1lb Broccoli
    1 handful organic spinach
    1+ cup of mixed berries
    3 brussel sprouts
    splash of POM juice
    splash of cherry tart juice
    splash of cranberry juice
1 tomato---yes, I just toss in a clean, whole tomato
    3/4 garlic clove

I use several herbs, which I add to my vitamix recipe,
    1. beetroot powder
    2 Tumeric powder--

    ancillaries

    Carlson Omega-3s
    caco powder
    CoQ10-2x
    querticin-2x
    Pomegranate juice
    vitamin C(as magnesium ascorbate-->(important)
    NAC
    quecertin

I also lift weights, doing a full bodyworkout every 4 days with 3sets, 8 reps

The major issue I have is I work nights about half the time, so my sleep schedule bites

Otherwise, I've lost over 100lbs since April 2012 and my blood work should be good, but I havent had it checked in since October 2012.

    That's great. :)
Wow, that's a lot. I'm sure you can cut back 50% if not more.
A full body work out is tough. Hope you are resting the muscles enough. Over training creeps up on one. In the good old days, I worked out two muscle groups a day, sometimes three.

Either way, well done and keep it up.

    Cheers..

    thanks

I try to get 1.5grams/pound of LBM, I can cut to 1.25-1.5, as I walk a lot,1-4 hours/treadmill. for therapy issues but its eggwhites, no Heterocyclic amines and it helps prevent muscle loss since I'm not eating that many carbs, mostly non-starchy veggies
Yes, I agree with you, I might change if I can't get the intensity I need or the weights I use starts falling

I wish I couold say it was all pure will power, but a bulk of the weight came off in the 1st 10 weeks, thus winning a contest. I'm happy to say I've kept the weight off for over year, which is really the hard part for me. changing isnt easy

That's steep protein intake in my books. I'm not a dietician from any angle, I hope you are consulting with one. Plus exercising in consultation with a physiotherapist.

    All the best. :)

    Cheers..

Thanks for the concerns, I wasn't born knowing much much about anything. What I do is based on science/writings of others based on science.
The steep protein is to avoid muscle loss, Protein Sparing Modified Fast. I'm well versed in diet and exercise, diet is the one area I have complete control.

    OHMHHHFFFFFFFFF!!!!

dang it, another twinkie Kamikazed itself into my mouth;)
