    Hello All-
A few days ago I started having an issue with the internet where pages do not load completely and it doesn't really matter what site I go to. Google seems to work fine - I am able to search, and I can usually type a URL in and it will go so I at least have a good connection and other computers in the house work fine. I thought it might be Firefox, but had the same issues with IE so thought maybe it was an add-on or one of my settings. I read through the forums and tried to clean up and update, but most of this is over my head! Finally, I decided to download Chrome, no such luck.

When I do get to a page, sometimes pictures load sometimes not, the little circle never stops moving so it seems that they never fully load, and sometimes other info on the page is missing. For instance, the scroll bar will be missing or areas of text.

Using an HP G62 with Windows 7 64bit

Have run malware/ virus scans and it doesn't come up with anything.
Any help you can give is greatly appreciated, I use this mostly for school although I was probably "playing" and somehow caused this to happen.

    Greetings, stupid_pc_girl...

What happens if you boot into Safe Mode w/ Networking - any change in symptoms?

    Good Evening Caliban-

There is does not seem to be any change when I boot in safe mode. I also thought it might be an outdated driver, so I downloaded an update yesterday for the network card (?) but this didn't have any effect either. The pages do seem to come up a bit faster, but that might just be wishful thinking bc they still don't load, etc. :cry

Let us take a look at your machine: please download and run Speccy, a free system information tool.

When the scan completes select 'File', 'Save as Text file', name the report, and save to an easily found location such as your Desktop.

Be advised: the report will display your IP Address and Windows Product Key. You may delete this information if you so wish.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

Also, you mentioned "cleaning up" - how was this accomplished? My next suggestion would be to download and run CCleaner. Once CCleaner is installed, close any browsers and run the default files cleaner routine, then see if there any changes in your browsing symptoms - there is a CCleaner tutorial on the download page.

Is the attached file what you were looking for?

As for cleaning, I ran CCleaner, Advanced System Care 5, Iobit, and AVG, and keep Windows Firewall and anti-virus turned off.

I hope none of these are programs that cancel out each other. CCleaner and Adv. Sys. Care seem to do the same functions, but when I run one and then the other, there is almost always something left behind. No viruses or malware were found.
I am pretty sure it has been a while since I have done a defrag.

*I have only visited this site today, but it seems to be running better than the past few days. A fluke I assume???

    Good morning...

I see nothing obviously wrong with your system specs. I did, however, notice the usual glut of HP-related software which may lead to some connection problems. Take a look at this recent thread and pay particular attention to the HP software removals - you might consider doing the same, seeing if there is a change in your symptoms.

    Hello again!
Glad to hear nothing seems to be out of order...I never know.

I would love to get rid of all the HP junk-just not sure what I can and can not remove; all or just certain items. Is this something you can help with or should I start a new thread in a different forum?

In that same thread, there is mention of using Windows networking. Could you help me understand this a little better? Is he just referring to networking software already on the computer vs getting something else?

Thank you so much for the time you have spent helping!!!

    Yes, Windows built-in networking application.

As far as the HP software is concerned, I agree with the others in that linked thread about it being pretty much useless. Grab the Iobit Uninstaller and remove the HP stuff.
