Paid for and downloaded Norton 360, now problems???

My computer was running fine, but my Norton had expired, so I paid for and downloaded Norton 360. It's supposed to be SO much better, but ever since I downloaded it my computer is slower, and is crashing randomly. Could it be butting heads with other things on my computer? (Like Spyware Blaster). It's really frustrating, especially since it's paid for. Any ideas?

Did you fully remove the older version of Norton you had before installing Norton 360?

*make sure you backup the downloaded Norton 360 installer files and make note of your serial key* then uninstall Norton 360 and any other Norton AVs that could be installed on your PC, then run this to cleanup the left over files http://www.majorgeeks.com/Norton_Removal_Tool_SymNRT_d4749.html then run CCleaner to clean up the junk temps and run its Registry cleaner, note run the registry cleaner a few times as it will pickup old useless keys on multiple passes.

Then reboot and re-install Norton 360.

Spywareblaster is fine as this application doesnt actually run, apart from when you're updating it, it just adds known bad site to the blocked urls list in your browser.

BUT what other applications do you have security wise as one of them if a live scanning application could slow your PC down as two scanning apps at once will take over CPU cycles.
