Hi! I've been converting screenshots of old games, and one of the systems has a resolution of 320x200. Now, I want to convert a few of them to Win98 startup screens, but they are 320x400. In Paint.net, can I exactly double the .Y resolution of an image while keeping .X the same. If so, how?

I haven't used that application in a number of years, but I seem to recall fair-to-middlin' documentation within the program itself., distorting it

That being said, you probably can...but I suspect that it would 'stretch' the image, distorting it drastically.

Well, I've been using the nearest-neighbor filter when resizing pictures, and that helps. I'm also able to resize just the .Y but don't want to guess: I want the .Y to be exactly double.

The math seems simple enough: 2Y

(But I've sometimes found that, if it seems simple, I've missed something. Math class was a depressingly long time ago.)
