People in Pakistan need some help.

More than 50,000 people have been killed and up to 3 million are homeless.

"Aid workers fear casualties could rise even further as communities without adequate food, shelter or health care will soon face the harsh Himalayan winter. Snow has already begun to fall in high mountains, and some villages face subfreezing temperatures at night."

How's about it? Feel like giving some kids something to eat? A place to stay? There are pregnant women, young children, elderly people, etc. It seems like everybody has given to the tsunami and Katrina disasters, and this one is kind of going under the radar. If you are on any mailing lists, or post to other message boards, if you want, would you cut and paste this and send it out? Thanks.

Please don't take this the wrong way...I don't mean to be rude...however...I am going to keep (what small tiny bit i CAN afford to donate) in my area to help things like St. Jude, or Ronald Mc Donald house, Katrina, Wilma victims, and all the homeless people here etc, etc,!!

Sorry...but I needed to get that off my shoulders!!!

Actually Roger...you have a point there. Obviously all causes are desperate for assistance, but with recent natural disasters...hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes etc, local smaller charities are really suffering. Even the Red Cross has commented how they have very generously received for the larger disasters which desperately need help, but it means the smaller ongoing needs have suffered as a consequence. Working for a non-profit organization, we are predicting this will affect us immensely too.

Personally I say just keep giving what you can to where your heart is. There is so much need in the world. Every little helps someone and no cause is greater or smaller than another :)
