Palm Desktop Software data missing

Can someone tell me what I can do to get my data back on my palm desktop software? It disappeared after a malware problem. It came back after some fixes, although I don't know which ones, as I did many. Then after I tried to send it to my external hard drive, the datebook disappeared. The other day the memo was suddenly gone again. I have an external hard drive as back up, as well as back up with my Norton security suite; however I can't seem to find the lost data. I also tried unhide and maybe it helped initially; however it didn't help recently.

Have you recently synced with your palm device recently? The data on your device might act as a backup and you can overwrite your computer data from it.

 

I don't use the handheld and haven't in years.
