panda online scan

Hi just a quick question,

I have just gone on Panda`s website to do the activescan.

Whilst downloading the ActiveX controls avast! stopped it and said I was downloading Win32:CTX virus/worm.

Surely a security website cant be downloading a virus to my computer can it? Or was it a false alarm?

Hi Wayne, your using AVAST prehaps? as this is a false positive, quote from the READ ME from Chaslang

If you use Avast antivirus and it gives you and error like below when trying to use Panda, just disable Avast while your run the scan. The error is a false positive:

Excellent. Thanks for the reply Halo. The link above was not working, but I got the answer I needed from your reply anyway.

I just thought I would give the Panda online scan a go, why I was in the garden and not using my PC, I like to be as security concious as I can. I will disable avast! tomorrow when I try the scan again.
