Hi all. I just purchased and downloaded Panda Platinum Internet Security 2005 for installation on a brand new system. (specs below) The installation goes about 3/4 through, gives me a few "memory instruction" errors, and the computer restarts prematurely. Upon entering Windows again, I get an error in "winlogon.exe" and "savedump.exe" followed by a blue screen. This process repeats every time I restart; effectively locking me out of Windows.

I then booted into safemode, uninstalled what was left of Panda (about 7 different error messages also during that process), did a System Restore to the point before I first installed it, and now I'm able to get into Windows.

I tried installing this software twice, and both times I had this same result.

Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2
    Intel "BOXD915GEVL" i915G Chipset Motherboard
    Intel PentiumĀ® 4 530J Processor Prescott 3.0GHz
    2 x CORSAIR VALUESELECT 512MB DDR2 PC2-4200
Seagate 200GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive

The client wants Panda, so I would like to try and make this work if at all possible. Anyone have any ideas? Already sent an e-mail to Panda Software, but I'm not expecting too much help via that route.

    Thanks for any help!

Yeah, I've been there but nothing listed is the problem I'm having...

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hmm... Panda seems to not like Service Pack 2. I could get it to work with just an initial installation of XP, but as soon as I updated, the system goes FUBAR.

How can a company release something that is able to screw a computer over so badly? I guess I'm in the minority though; haven't been able to Google anything related to this problem...

On the initial install of XP did you update panda with current available updates then install SP2?
