    Greetings Everyone,

I have a problem booting up my Thinkpad R32 laptop. I keep getting a error code "Parity Check 20000". I tried switching my RAM in different slots and still kept freezing at boot. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Please let me know. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

An "electrical noise" problem? Could be a power supply. One suggestion was to see if you can disable the check in BIOS, another was to try single memory module only, in different slots. Sounds like some kind of electronic interference though, anything from solar rays or lightning to a noisy power supply. I would start with the BIOS, and then the memory modules. Hello,

I tried switching my 512 RAM in each slot and booting each time without success. I also am not near any solar rays, em fields, or anything that I could think of that would somehow interfere with booting. Thanks for your reply. I still have no idea how to fix this.
