.part added on every download

    This started a couple of weeks ago; no matter what I download (CCleaner update for example), it gets labelled (whatever).exe.part

    I can delete the .part and then it is fine.

    Any ideas?

    Chrome does that until it is complete.

    I use Firefox, unless I installed a DM inadvertently, I cannot find a trace.
    Is there anyway of checking somewhere?

    Firefox does the same; '.part' is appended until the download is complete.

    In other words, your downloads never complete.
