    Greetings, can anyone help?

I have two 160 gig hard drives set up as a master and a slave, I am trying to remember the step by step process for using the fdisk process to partition the drives, for the life of me i can only remember part of it. why am i using this old fashioned process i hear you ask?

call me old fashioned but i know not of any other way that i can use and be able to install multiple OS. i did originally have millennium, XP and 2000 on the system till i lost the drives. yes i do know that one can use XP to partition the drive but then you are unable to install a earlier OS because it dominates.

A lot of my older files are not recognised by XP, vista and such the like, which is why if i don't have to i refuse to use them. i would deeply appreciate if someone has or remembers the skills of the FDISK process and would offer me a step by step. Not having my PC is causing withdrawal symptoms and i not sure how much i can take.

if there is something on the market outside of the FDISK process which will help me achieve the same goal, then i am willing to take that on board, if not then i prefer the above. anyone who really knows about computers and i am not disrespecting you guys who have the know how. but using the Fdisk process......PRICELSS

What types of files are you concerned about accessing? I can help you partion/multi boot- but it may not be necessary.

At present both disks were blank but i have managed to put win millenium on but the drives have not been partitioned properly. with regards to file access as long as i can replace millenium XP and 2000 on my PC which I use to choose from a menu on boot i will be more than happy. if i elaborate a bit more that may help..

i did originally have my drives partitioned from C to M all windows files were kept on C Drive, D Drive for games All my windows OS were kept and installed from E Drive which eliminated the search for a CD which at times you found scratched (brilliant idea to me anyway) the other drives i either allocated to family or kept my precious old files from i am now almost prepared to sell my granny to get this back in place. deeply appreciate any advice you can give.

    Cheers
