   When I run my anti-virus(Karspersy)there are some things that are password protected.
   Could this be a virus that is doing this,as I have no passwords I am aware of?

   Typically password protected files are nothing to worry about. Some software files cannot be accessed by anti virus software because of the security measures the software has in place.
