I had a really long day, and without even thinking about it got scammed. I realized it about 2 seconds later and changed all my information, but i can't cancel my credit card until morning.

    The email i got was:

However the address it actually took me to was http://61.197.172.123/. /restricteaccounts/paypal.com/

Every link on the page goes back to PayPal EXCEPT the Log In. And you can put in any email address/password combination you want - it'll go on to ask you for your info.

I was so tired I didn't even think about it until after it was over, so I called Paypal, sent them the e-mail, changed my password and log in questions and i called the bank to report the card stolen, but they don't process debit cards, so i have to call them in the morning to cancel my debit. What a pain in the ass.

I ran the IP and Hostname and found:

I mean, I should have known better, and I DID right AFTER i was finished something occured to me and I went back to check. It was obvious after that, and i was so distraught.

Ever been so tired you just can't think straight? I mean, on a normal day under normal circumstances, I would have laughed at an idiot like me... but I wass literally so exhausted I was almost high.

was... am... I need to finish this crap and go to bed. *sigh* Now I cant even use my account for 2 weeks until they send my replacement card and Pin number.

Yes, I do know how it is to be so tired you really don't think about what your doing. Your thoughts and actions are almost robot like, then you do something and have that 'Oh No' second, then franticly try to undo what you just did.

You'll get it straighten out, get some rest, you can't do much till the morning anyway.

Good luck getting this straighted out.

Everytime I see an E-mail from PayPal, the hairs on the back of my neck go up ! Most are actually from them warning me of other scams and phishing but I still get the occasional one wanting me to verify something.

I ignore most (probally shouldn't) but figure that way worst case will be my account getting closed and my wife won't be able to buy anthing off Ebay for awhile ;)
