I was wondering if anyone has any good software for my use case. I'm sure others have wanted the same thing and I'm curious how they've used this. Sorry for the length as well, I tend to be longwinded.

I'm looking of some way of doing a checkup on PC's in my office. Here are my requests:

-I'd like something that can run a quick scan to check for malware, PUP's, and possibly other issues with the PC, generate a report and close without making any changes to the system. I then will go through the reports, and manually clean the PC's as necessary.

-I'd prefer it not be an installed program, but I'm ok installing it as long as install and uninstall can be scripted without user interaction. I'd like to script something to run while users are at lunch.

-I'd also prefer it error on the side of false positives than missing things. I don't mind scrolling through false positives. If it misses things I'm forced to dig through the entire machine manually.

-It has to be a quick scan. Obviously variable based on pc, but the scan needs to run < 30mins, preferably in the 10-15 mins range on an average pc.
-I'm fine with this being multiple programs, as long as I can script the whole thing to run without interaction.

I've tested several different programs currently, below are my findings:
ESET System Inspector: Probably the best I've found, especially since its portable and can be run through a batch file to generate a log. Unfortunately its malware check is pretty weak. Missed almost everything on a known infected machine.
System Mechanic: Nice but no AV check. Also no command line ability that I am aware of. Requires user interaction.
Comodo Cleaning Utility: I really liked this as well, but the command line switch automatically makes changes and reboots the machine, even though the changes may not be necessary. If it could run and only generate a log, that would be perfect.
Norton/Mcafee Scanners: Requires installation and requires user interaction, either through the scan or the installation/uninstallation. No script ability that I'm aware of.
Malwarebytes: Great as we all know, but if it finds infections it requires user interaction. Their support said with the pro version you can do what I'm looking for, but that means I would have to pay for the pro version on every PC, not something I can do for a temporary scanner, unless someone has a way around this through killing the process or something.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Greetings, PrivatePile.

Are these Windows machines? If so, you might look at the Microsoft stuff such as the Fix it Center (make sure to browse the online options for multiple machines) and MSE for the security side.

Don't know about MSE's reporting capabilities, but the Fix it Center 'cloud' thing seems promising - and you can't beat the price.

    Caliban,

Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like the Fix It Center was in Beta and is no longer available. I've tried Microsoft's Safety Scanner, but unfortunately it seems to find no problems at all.

    Any other suggestions?

Ah, my bad. Sorry about that.

No more suggestions about the scanners. However, I did run across Spiceworks (Spiceworks.com) a while back - never got into the program but I know it comes highly recommended for monitoring several machines in an office environment.
