    Hello,

Lately my PC has been freezing all the time, so I've decided to use your Read & Run Me First guide. I spent all day on this and reboot at least a dozen times and I still don't know what's wrong. Unfortunately, I couldn't run SUPERA even after modifying preferences, as suggested. I tried 4 times: 3 times it froze when scanning the file called msoeres.dll.mui, and the last time it froze when scanning some other file, I can't remember its name. Malwarebytes froze the first time and the second scan didn't seem to find anything (please see the attached log).
    I've also attached MGlogs.zip.
I'm using Vista and a 64-bit version of Windows, so I haven't run Combofix and RootRepeal.
Is there anything wrong with my PC? Anything else I can do to fix it?
    Thank you.

I am not seeing any malware in your logs. However, download OTL by Old Timer. and save it to your Desktop.

    * Double click on OTL.exe to run it.
    * Under Output, ensure that Minimal Output is selected.
    * Under Extra Registry section, select Use SafeList.
    * Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
    * Click on Run Scan at the top left hand corner.
    * When done, two Notepad files will open.
    o OTListIt.txt <-- Will be opened
    o Extra.txt <-- Will be minimized
    * Please post the contents of these 2 Notepad files in your next reply.

Hi TimW, thank you for replying. I downloaded & ran OTL, however once the logs were created my laptop froze. Since the logs got saved I've decided not to run OTL again. If the attached logs are incomplete and you want me to re-run OTL, please let me know.
    Thank you.

Are you getting BSOD's? You need to go into your computer / advanced settings and stop it from restarting on errors so we can know what the BSOD error message is. This may not be a malware issue.

I don't think this is a malware issue. Perhaps you should post in the software forum. I am assuming this happens on a random basis?
