pc keeps rebooting and wont go to xp screen

    i just re-installed xp in this copmuter everytime i start it up it comes up with the start up screen then goes back to it ,over and over it wont go to xp screen.

    ok i finally got it to boot to the o.s,the issue im having now is my mouse pointer is very lagy and if it sits inactive for a bit it becomes unresponsive.
