    Hello MG's,

My new PC with (just 2 weeks old) keeps on restarting and returns a BSOD F4.
It does not boot in safe mode whatever option I choose.
Recovery does not work since the same problem occurs.
Last known good configuration neither works.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Paul

    Hi,

I've seen 0xF4 before. Hopefully the following isn't true in your case. But for me each case has been extreme data corruption (every stage [1-5] spammed with errors) and hard drive failure. In some cases I was able to retrieve SOME data (not all) and other cases I could not get any information at all pulled from the hdd.

Hope this helps or at least gives you some insight on what may be happening in your case.

I'd recommend backing up any data possible before attempting to troubleshoot this further.

    Good luck!

Perhaps the SATA cable became dislodged during transport/setting up - turn it off, open the case and disconnect the SATA cable from the hard drive then reconnect it, repeat on the motherboard connector end of the SATA cable. Restart the PC with your digits crossed!

Backing up will be difficult if it doesn't boot up and the drive/connection is faulty - I hope there's nothing vital on there.
