I updated to Windows 10 recently and everything was going well - very fast - until I got a blue screen a few weeks ago and a reset was required. Since that time everything is really slow and sticky. I use the Norton security suite that is complimentary for comcast users. I also have Advanced System Care (the free version). I've disabled both now just to see if maybe they were slowing things down but its still happening. I've attached my logs here for you to see. One thing I want to mention is that the mgtools application did not run as described. It asked me to hit a key to continue and then nothing else happened. I went into the folder that it created and ran the application button which resulted in the log that I've attached. If I need to do something different please explain. Thanks for your help.

    Hi there :)

If you are attaching a hijackthis log then you must have the MGlogs.zip that was created. Can you see it on the desktop or on the root of the drive you boot Windows from?

I just ran the mgtools again and it said your OS version is unsupported by GetLogs. I guess that's why it didn't create a log.

MGtools can be run on Windows 10, and you must have run it to generate a hijackthis log?? Where did you get the hijackthis log from?

It was on my desktop. I have received your help before with my Windows 7 OS but I dont think this log could have been from a previous support incident because it had a created date of April 24. I'm sorry if this is confusing.

I just checked the log and that was created when I ran the mgtools as I can see from the data in the log. However, that was all that happened. Nothing else. It just came up to the prompt to press any key to continue and then the command prompt closed.

You need to make sure that you have downloaded and are using a current version of MGtools! You are not supposed to keep old versions around but this is what it sounds like you did.

But I tend to doubt your issue is due to malware. I suggest completely uninstalling ( dnot disabling ) Advanced SystemCare and also Norton. Then reboot your PC and see if there is any change.

I did uninstall them both and that appeared to help with that. I'm sorry I took so long to reply. I now have a new issue which I didn't have before so I'm not sure if its related. But now I can't access any other sites but google, facebook and youtube. This is happening only since I removed those.

Are you sure that all of Norton and Advance SystemCare were removed? Perhaps you have some leftovers. Maybe in the firewall area that could be blocking things. I suggest that you download the current version of MGtools given in the READ & RUN ME FIRST and run it. Then attach the requested MGlogs.zip file
