Based on your logs, you are not having malware problems. If things are slow, it is more than like just due to what you are running (like possibly Symantec). I do recommend removing all those items from your Hosts file. Why did you put those in there? I recommend doing the below to get back to default:

Download HOSTER and then follow the below steps.
    • Unzip Hoster to a convenient folder such as C:\Hoster
    • Run Hoster.exe, click Restore Original Hosts and then click OK.
    • Click the X to exit the program
You also need to get your Sun Java updates and uninstall the old versions!

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0

Make sure you reboot after uninstalling the above!

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

    Hey Chaslang,

What do you mean my hosts files? If I go back to default will I lose any data? (documents, pictures, ect). The Panda Scan said I had 5 viruses, that doesn't have to do with my speed?

I just want to make sure that before I take the stated steps that I will not lose my data.

    Thank you very much!!

The Hosts file lines show in your HJT log. They all begin with O1 - Hosts:

Clearing them out does not delete any files. It only clears all the URL to IP mappings you put in your Hosts file.

Alright Chaslang, I have done the steps that you directed above. I noticed after reboot that my PC was reacting faster! Is this all you want me to do?

I still have problems though, all of a sudden while surfing the internet I will get an error message saying that there was an exception in win32 proxy. My symmantec client globe in my task bar will then have a big "?" on it and I cant run any programs, I have to reboot my PC everytime to clear it. This happens a lot. I have heard that symmantec is a P.O.S. Are there any good free antispyware programs out there? Or do I have to shell out the $ to protect my PC. I think that symmantec is giving me the error not my PC.

    Thanks again man!

Your Symantec software is really an antivirus program not an antispyware program. Although if you have their Internet Security Suite, it does have a lot of other applications (like firewall, proxy, ....etc).

Everything we recommend (and Symantec is not on the list) is in the below sticky thread:
