    Just some background...

I'm dog sitting for the week and the person I am dog sitting for has a Mac. So, I want to connect my PC to her AirPort through the wireless. I've done it before so I know it's possible but what I did before doesn't seem to be working.

I've converted her password to hex and I should be compatible with it (I have 802.1x enabled on my wireless card). However, whenever I try to connect, without adding it as a preferred network, it seems to just stall on "Detecting Network Type". When I add it as a preferred network and put in the password, the bijillion digit hex version, it just doesn't connect or I get a "Network is out of range" type error message and it suggest repairing which just doesn't work.

I have no idea if any of you are familiar with Mac but anyone has to be better with them than me. Anyway, any advice would be helpful.

    Airport router?

Knowledge of Macs has nothing to do with it.

Unfortunately, without knowing how she setup the router...shots in the dark are all I would have to offer.
