pc tools firewall has to be switched off????

    Hi for some reason pc tools firewall needs to be switched off in order to be able to access the internet. I have checked that the browsers are allowed to access the internet and even removed them and let the firewall recheck them but it still wont work. anyideas? otherwise I will just get a new firewall.

    Do you have the latest version installed?

    Did it just all of a sudden start blocking the connection?

    yeah it just started blocking all of a sudden. I am going to reinstall the latest version and see what that does. I'll let you know what happens.

    I had to switch over to comodo I couldnt get pc tools to stop blocking internet access. hopefully comodo is a good alternative. I also noticed you have updated the protect yourself thread and I downloaded BOclean aswell as a squared.so i'll need to learn how to use these best.
