PC Tools Firewall Plus - Has it got a bug?

I'm having a fight with my mouse on my laptop!

As soon as a pop up occurs telling me that "Webshots Photo Manager is trying to access the internet" and I press "Allow" my mouse freezes.........

I am currently running AVG anti virus but nothing has come up yet! I also have the flippin' PC Tools Firewall Plus pop up on my screen as if I press allow I can't do anything (Cnt Alt & Del doesn't work either!)

Is that strange or what?

Ditch PC Tools Firewall Plus and get Comodo Firewall or Online Armor Free. Google.

As for ditching PCTools, that is not a fix, its a cop out.

What version of PCTools do you have?

It WAS the free one on MG site - I uninstalled it and used Zone Alarm......No freezing mouses now!

Really strange!

Is Zone Alarm not a favourite then?

 

certainly not with me.

However, we like to fix problems with apps people are using, not brush them off to something else.

In this case, it was probably a conflict with the application and the firewall's code injection feature. Its easily turned off in the firewall options.

 

I got spooked when I got a blue screen, so uninstalled it immediately!
