I have a PC that is not sending a signal to the mointor. It is not reading the keyboard or lighting the Num Lock light either. When I power on the PC the three lights on the keyboard light for a second. Then nothing on it or the monitor. The red LED on the mouse flashes. This monitor is an elo touchscreen monitor with a credit card reader on it.

I checked both the monitor and keyboard on other computers and they work. I tried another monitor and it says no signal.

What could be the problem? I just moved the computer and it worked for a day. Turned it off and the next day, this condition.

This PC was purchased in 2005 and has on board video. Intel processor and Windows XP. This is similar to another thread where suggestions of changing the CMOS battery or checking the power supply were given but I don't know if that will help my situation.

Yes, doing these things may help, they certainly can't hurt. If the PC was recently moved, there's a good chance that something inside may have come loose. Check all the internal cables: make sure they are firmly connected. This applies to power cables and data cables. Check any PCI cards and make sure they are firmly and completely seated in their respective slots. Check the memory sticks: make sure they are also firmly and completely seated. Sometimes it's best to take each memory stick out completely, clean any dust from the slot and the stick, then put it back in. Do all this with the power cord unplugged from the PC. If none of this works, let us know and we'll go to step 2.

Well it worked. So it wasn't VGA trouble, it was the computer not booting up. I believe the memory cards were the culprit. When I unclipped them, they practically fell out.

I seated them well and unplugged and plugged in the internal power cords and the SATA cord.

Thanks for your help. I turned to the right place. Probably saved at least $200. :wave

:celebrate Glad I could help! :highfive

Moving a PC can cause all sorts of weirdness if anything inside is marginally loose to begin with. Good thing you pegged the issue yourself. Almost too easy, no? ;)
