PC Wireless card no longer sees networks

Hey everyone,

Here's my problem. I have a wireless card in my PC, but its no longer reading any wireless networks around me. It was for the first two years or so since I"ve had it. Recently, about two months ago I decided to plug in a Cat5 Cable to the back of my computer in hopes to have faster internet.

Just today, I unplugged my cat 5 cable and noticed I can no longer view the wireless networks. Does anyone have any idea why? I've unplugged it multiple times before and switched back to wifi, but now I can't seem to get it to work again.

I've tried rebooting my router and modem, yet still no luck. According to the DriverScanner software, all my drivers are up to date.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I know this is going to sound obvious, but is there a switch or button on the computer to turn the wireless on or off? If so, have you tried pressing it?

 

In addition, on some laptops you may need to use the function (Fn) button plus one of the keys which looks like it has an antenna symbol on it. Usually a number, or an F key.

If neither option works, you may have to get into Control Panel, and check the Network Settings or possibly set up a network from there. Also you could check Device Manager for a yellow exclamation point, to check if Windows sees a problem with the card, or somehow it may have been disabled.
