Pc Won't Start After Headphones Unplugged

I built my PC a year and a half ago and have had minimal problems. After I built my PC the only problems I had was the 3.0 USB on the front of the case wouldn’t work even though I had hooked it up to the motherboard during instillation. The other problem that became worse as time went on was that I would only hear out of my right headphone. I googled it and it said the connections were probably loose. I checked the connections inside the PC and they were hard wired. Even after re-attaching the side of the cables in the MB it didn’t fix my problem.

I thought I would just give the back story before I go into detail about what happened now.

A week ago I disconnected my headphones from the front headphone port (the one that was giving me problems) and my PC shut off. I tried to turn it back on and only saw the LED on the startup button on (no humming of fans or any signs of life inside my PC). I opened up my PC and tried it again to see that my fans would start up for less than half a second before they stopped, but my LEDs would remain on. I tried disconnecting every connection in my PC and reattaching them, but nothing fixed the problem. I have also tried re-plugging in the headphones, but my computer still won't start.

To me it seems like I have a short somewhere but there is no damage on my MB. Help please

You didn't say what Operating System, eg Win 7, 8.1 or 10.
Try recovery options. You can google how to access those for your specific OS.
