What is PCHEALTH? I searched for it at this site and couldn't find anything that explained it. I googled it and found some sites that seemed to say it was a bad thing and should be deleted and other sites that explained how to install it or reinstall it.

    I need some enlightenment.

OK. Thanks for the info. But is this something I should be able to open and use? Else, how would I know what it is telling me about my computer? BTW, I am not able to find anything that would enable me to open it.

Where on your system are you finding this program?

I have seen it when I go to Run & misconfig to determine what programs I want to have start when I start my laptop although it does not show up now. Also, there have been times when WinPatrol has asked me if I want PCHealth to start at startup.

I was just wondering about this "app".

    HI!
My folder 'pchealth' is located at C:\WINDOWS\pchealth
It contains many sub- folders, some empty, including the help files folder.
Loads of logs, xml files, etc., etc.
I also have WinPatrol and I have never been 'advised' it tried to add itself as a startup program as it has no .exe file associated with it, that I've found, and it doesn't appear anywhere in msconfig.
Curious. See if you can locate it. Maybe it's 'different' than the usual pchealth?

If it is THIS: (which SHOULD NOT BE ON YOUR COMPUTER ANYWHERE)
Check your processes. Could be Win Patrol saved your behind by not allowing it to start up!

Thanks for the further enlightenment. I found my pchealth in c:\windows\pchealth and saw various files. Using Search I found the following:

    C:\WINDOWS\I386\PCHEALTH.IN_
    C:\WINDOWS\pchealth

Well, it appears that I don't have any problems with it, at least not for now.

Try looking for this file and running it:

    C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe

Normaly it is used like this:

At last! Someone who seems to know what this is all about. Pretty good for a Private E-2!!!

apparently, at least on my computer, this is something that Toshiba has on my Toshiba laptop. The attachment is what I got when I clicked on "HelpCtr.exe".

    Appreciate all your insight!!
