PCI Vs PCIe (future proof)

I'm going to most likely buy one of these 2 boards. One had 5 PCI slots and 2 PCIe (1x16 & 1x1), the other has 3 PCI slots and 4 PCIe (1x16 & 3x1).
Which one would you get and why?

I have no particular hardware requirements for either type right now. So I guess I'm wondering how best to future proof my purchase.

 

pcie is the future, pci is still widely used, but on its way out. I would order the one with more pcie express if your concerned about future proofing.

 

I figured as much, just wanted opinions, and opinions are thick on the ground at Major Geeks
