PCIE question

    Ok right now i got a BFG 6800GS unlocked and flashed to a GT running at ultra clocks. Im upgradeing my system so im getting this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813157107 pared with a E4300 with the 1066 fsb mod.

    Im looking at 7900GS's but i wanna know how much of a hit i'll take with the 4X mode aposed to the X16. i know it wont proform to its fullest but will it be worth the upgrade or should i just ride the 6800for a while?
