I know intel ChipSet has a NorthBidge and a SouthBridge.

The CPU and System RAM and AGP or any fast Slots all go through the NorthBridge.

And iDE and slow things went through the SouthBridge.

I get how all of this worked.

Now when PCi Express came out it was a Fast Slot so it was up whare the NorthBridge is.

Then they came out with PCMi I hope I got the name right? It toock the place of the NorthBridge.

Or did it take the place of the NorthBridge and SouthBridge?

You really need to Google these things to first, learn what they are, and second, what they do.

AGP went away years ago and was replaced with the PCIe (PCI Express slot).

IDE went away years ago and was replaced by SATA.

Never heard of PCMi and neither has Google (at least in terms of computing). I don't know what you mean by DMi either.
