Alright, I really apologize in advance because I know there are about 3 other threads posted about this PCSecurityLab thing. However, due to my supreme lack of skills, I need help from the absolute beginning (since I have no idea what to do).

Basically I have the same issue with the desktop change (says that someone is hacking my computer and sending me spyware) and the 8 million ! triangles saying that I have crap on my computer (along with the popup to their site and such).

The virus scanner on this computer is McAfee and it isn't seeing anything. I tried installing a few other random ones but they aren't seeing it either.

I don't want to try anything too risky because it's my mom's computer (I'm trying to fix it for her) and she'll be really...not happy if I mess anything up.

If someone is willing to help me slowly, step by step that would be awesome. If not (I don't know exactly what skill level this site expects the users to have lol) then I understand and apologize for this huge post
