PDF and Adobe???

Is there any other software or program to open PDf on a win 98 se with IE 5?

I tried downloading adobe reader 6.something but it will not work with my version of IE and I do not want to upgrade to IE 6 or other versions at this time.

I'm trying to open a PDF file of an expanded view of a Bing Carb. When I was on the site and was downloading, I ticked open from location. Then my box asks what to open it with. So I untic "always open this type file..." and tried word pad infranview etc. Now when I click on the website to open from location, the file dowloads and I get a message that reads requested files temperary internet filesie5 64listpdf was not a valid format?

So I'm thinking I may have forgot to untic the alway open this type file with this program option and was wondering how to unchange that memory?

or is there another program I can get to handle PDF ? But I still think I need to change the option of how to handle these types of files.

I also cleared the temp internet folder etc but that did not help?

Any suggestions?

Also since I have had these types of things happen before with other file formats, I was wondering if there is a good software free or to buy that handles many different formats.

mag00 we all forget to tick/untick occasionally. What annoys me is that sometimes the tick is on by default and sometimes it is not. Any way to set the default to always off? Also any way to alter the order so that Wordpad, Word are at the top so we don't have to scroll down to the end for the " W" 's?

Is there some path/program we can install to override this M$ feature. Baz
