pdf & drop caps

    When I convert a Word document to .pdf, why do the tops of Drop Caps disappear?

    I've tried dopdf and pdf995 with the same result. dopdf even lost page numbers.

    Am I restricted to using Open Office to create pdfs? It doesn't lose page numbers or chop off the top of drop caps, but it's a big program to download just to use that function.

    Any suggestions? I need it to be a free download.

    S'okay I sorted it. I changed the page size and something must have glitched Drop Caps. All seems okay now on pdf955.
