    Hi,

I usually save all pdf files to my computer and then open them with my PDF viewer. Starting about a week ago, they wont save but open in FF with a new toolbar type thing. I can then use the download button to save them but the whole process is much slower.

Has anyone seen this particular bar before? I don't see anything in addons related to it and am not sure if it could actually be a part of FF nightly builds.

    Thanks for any suggestions/info.

Give this a try its all i can find on the extension
PDF Viewer may have some issues to render fonts, colors or the whole document in certain PDF files. Disable it temporarily so that the PDF file opens outside Firefox with your default PDF reader:

At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP), and then click Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
Select PDF Viewer and click Disable close to it.
When you're done, click Enable to use it again for other PDF files.
Here is the site i got this info from

Yes, this is something different. It is built into FF so it isn't an extension. I don't have any pdf extensions.

When I click on a pdf link it opens (very slowly) in FF. Then I can use the toolbar to save/download the file. I want to get back to being asked to save or open it, in my viewer which is pdf x-change. I have my program associations in FF set that way but they are being ignored.

I'm running FF nightly so that it is part of it. I think the answer will be in about:config but I haven't gotten around to looking. I wouldn't mind the toolbar but it seems to freeze FF until it can completely render the file. Rather annoying especially on a large pdf.
