Peer to peer: are any of them any good?

I like to download stuff but i dont want o get viruses spyware ect as i hate getting rid of them. but i know that the likes on kazaa and limewire are mine fields for this so is there any which i can use that are quite safe? plus im having trouble getting rid of a trojan virus any sugestions?

and sorry i can't help you with p2p downloading software... i have a feeling the mods/admins won't appreciate it.

 

why wont they apreciate it? come on i realy want to know if theres any half decent p2p's out there

 

just in case, you know i just want to be a little extra careful. i haven't gotten a ban yet in these many posts, and i don't want to start a precident for myself

Many of the P2P apps themselves are clean, the major problem is the stuff you'll download that you'll run into problems with. Viruses, spyware, corrupted files, even a problem with the MS DRM which allows it to be used to install malware on your computer. Of course, I don't need to mention that the RIAA/MPAA likes to sue anyone they catch up/downloading copyrighted materials, which will put a major crimp in your cash flow.
