PeerGuardian 2 information

Hello All!

I've recently been introduced to PG2 as a way to keep my online activity secure and private. However, when trying to download or update the IP block lists I keep getting errors. Does anyone know of any lists I can manually input or alternatively another program to hide my online activity?

I don't personally worry about this but doesn't IE8 private browsing tool accomplish this?

 

Those lists are not always accessible, it's normal behaviour for PG. I doubt it will keep you secure except from torrent attacks. Look in the malware section, there is a sticky giving you all the dirt on how to protect yourself.

Peer guardian is a dead program and I strongly recommend NOT using it. On peer guardian's website they have recommended switching over to Peerblock instead of using their program. Peer guardian hasn't been updated in years (with no stable versions for vista and win7). Peerblock can be found on www.peerblock.com. Peerblock is alive and active and includes versions for vista, win7, and of course XP.
