Pentium3 on Pentium4 motherboard?

    Is this possible? Can an AI7 865Pins Pentium4 motherboard run a pentium 3 processor?

    If you mean the Abit A17 865 motherboard ( the 865 bit is the chipset as the compatable CPU needs to be a 478 pin/socket for that board )

    as Pentium 3's were either Slot1 or Socket 370 ( 370 being the number of pins ) then the answer is NO.
