I recently used my laptop in a public wireless hotspot, and Zone Alarm blocked people from trying to connect to my computer. However, when I got back home, the same people were trying to connect to my computer. I never had a problem with people trying to connect before using my laptop in public. I was wondering if there was a way to stop people from trying to connect to my laptop. Also, I wanted to know if they were trying to connect using my IP address and if there was a way to change it. Thank you

More than likely it was not the same person or people. Usually what Zone Alarm reports as an intrusion attempt is a "port scan", when a hacker has a system set up that scans the Internet for open ports on random PCs.

Don't take it personal. Most likely no-one is actually targeting you.

You really can't prevent this sort of thing, but you're doing the right thing by using a Firewall. That's about all you can do.
