I recently ran Ad-Aware, and it came up with a result for a dialer. However, the file that it came up with was in a peoplepc folder that had come with my computer called altbrowser.exe. Doing a google search, I found out that Norton, which I do not currently use, detects this file as ezula spyware, not a dialer. I ran multiple spyware and virus scans, and nothing else detected this file as any kind of spyware. I am also certain that this file came with my computer. Can anyone help me? Is this really spyware?

I believe this is a false detection, I wouldnt worry about it. Are you having any problems?

No, I'm not experiencing any of the symptoms of either malware that Ad-aware or Norton says the file is. I think it is a false detection too. However, I just wanted to make sure. I've scanned with Ad-Aware before, and this never came up, so it must be something new they've added to their detection.

Yeah, the articles I have read said it started after a Norton update. That's typical of Norton, if you’re not having any problems I wouldn't worry about it.
