    Hello!

I am having a problem with my Windows XP.

At start-up a Persistence module window appears and it says that it has encountered a problem and it needs to close, it also offers to debug but to now avail.

Primarily i am unable to download any google product, like chrome, etc . .
and when i download it, it fails to run

also the internet explorer runs extremely slowly, :(

What should I do to repair this problem?

Are you changing screen resolutions often, say for different games?
Are you using an nvidia graphics card?
Is this a laptop? If so, do you use a docking station with it?

To determine what video card you're using, right click My Computer on the desktop and select Properties. Click the Hardware tab. Scroll down to Display Adapters and click the + sign.

What display adapter is listed there?

I ask because nvidia card installs may have a piece of software called igfxpers.exe which has proven to be a) a problem for many users and b) not necessary in many situations.

It can be disabled in the registry. If need be, are you comfortable using regedit?
